Vintage Glam Oregon Wedding by Amanda K Photo Art

I’ve been dying to share this fab-u-lous wedding from Amanda K Photo Art, with you for weeks, guys. The bride and groom are so stylish and seriously good looking that I’m starting to think maybe secretly, they’re models (Jasmine, Ben, you can tell me if you are. I won’t tell a soul). Even the bridal party is ultra fab and the reception decor too cool for words that this wedding is the complete package of equal parts trendy and classic, which let’s be honest, is hard to come by these days. I love the whole thing so much I even included a ton of black and white pics which is something I may have to start doing a little more around here; because let’s be honest, they’re so gorgeous. Be sure to check out the rest of the photos over here! Happy Thursday xo

What did I tell you? Look how beautiful these simple black and white photos are!

Such a stunning bouquet. I will forever love Dusty Miller in a bridal bouquet; it’s such a timeless look to me.

Ready for the coolest use of wood pallets at a wedding ever?

{From the bride, Jasmine} As the case with most weddings, preparation for our big day took place over the previous several months. While all of Ben’s immediate family lives in Alaska, I had no shortage of cousins, aunts, grandparents and friends to gather at my parent’s house to tackle every task from invitations and place cards to garland and table runners. The concept for the day’s decor originated from my mind, a product of hundreds of hours scouring blogs and pouring over magazines. As more people became involved in the preparation and a need arose to define the theme it was eventually decided that “Vintage Rustic Chic” would be the working title (a term that caused Ben significant trauma from the first time it was used).

Each major piece of our wedding had a fun story behind it. The arbor which Ben and I were married under was hand built by my father, which was a dream of mine for many years. The lights which were strung across the ceiling of the reception hall were found at an extreme discount while visiting Ben’s family in Alaska during the previous Christmas. They were so cheap that we thought, “We have to find a way to use those.” My dad spent his younger years as a brick mason, and when the time came to find some old pallets he went to go see his old friends at the supply house.

It was Ben’s desire that the wedding would foremost be a celebration, something that brought joy to all who attended. Because every detail had family fingerprints on it both in sweat and inspiration, the day of the wedding brought with it a special sweetness. To see every late night project and last minute improvisation come together just in time to enjoy it all with friends and family who had come from all over the country was a better feeling than words can describe.

The groom was handsome and honoring of his bride and all the family present, just as he is in everyday life as well. What a beautiful start to a wonderful journey ahead.
